Questions about this tool

Silver has lost much value against gold since the time of the Prophet, so the silver nisab is now much lower.

Which one should I use for cash?

Many modern bodies use gold; others prefer silver as more cautious and better for the poor.

Where do I get the price?

From the selling price quoted in your local gold market on the day you calculate.
