- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.

How it is calculated
ی (U+06CC) and ے → ي, ک (U+06A9) → ك, ہ ھ ە ۀ → ه, ۃ → ة, ۓ → ئ, and digits ۰ to ۹ → ٠ to ٩. Optionally: پ→ب, چ→ج, ژ→ز, گ→ك, ڤ→ف.
Example
Inputs: Convert Persian digits to Arabic-Indic = yes, Replace پ, چ, ژ, گ with the nearest Arabic letter = no. Result: Result: اين كتاب را ديروز خريدم; Characters converted: 4.
این کتاب را دیروز خریدم
اين كتاب را ديروز خريدم
Limits and caveats
- A final ی always becomes ي, although in Arabic it may be alef maksura ى.
- Replacing پ, چ and گ changes pronunciation, so that option is off by default.
Questions about this tool
Why does search miss a word I can see?
The text was probably typed on a Persian keyboard, so its yeh is ی and its kaf is ک, which differ from ي and ك.
Are Persian words changed?
Only the characters move to their Arabic codes; Persian-only letters such as پ stay unless you tick the option.
What is the difference between ۴ and ٤?
Persian digits 4, 5 and 6 have different shapes and code points from Arabic-Indic digits, and the tool unifies them.
