Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter distance, other distance, hours, minutes, seconds and split length.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Split pace = goal time ÷ distance in split units. Cumulative time at marker n = n × split pace, and the last row is the finish line.
Example
Inputs: Distance = Half marathon (21.0975 km), Hours = 1, Minutes = 59, Seconds = 0, Split length = Every kilometer. Result: Pace per split: 5:38 min/km; Total time: 1:59:00.
Limits and caveats
- The table assumes even splits and adds no time for hills or water stations.
- Course markers can differ slightly from the distance your watch measures.
Questions about this tool
What are even splits?
Running every kilometer in about the same time. It is a common plan because it spreads effort and avoids fading early.
What pace is a 4 hour marathon?
About 5:41 per kilometer, or 9:09 per mile.
How do I use the table on race day?
Print it or note a few times, then check your watch at each marker to see if you are ahead of or behind plan.
