How it is calculated
With n entries and k winners drawn without repeats, each entry has a k / n chance of winning. The list is shuffled uniformly and the first k are taken.

Inputs: How many to pick = 1, Draw number = 1. Result: Picked: Maha; Entries in the list: 8; Chance for each entry: 12.5%.
Limits and caveats
- A name listed twice counts as two entries, so its chance doubles.
- Commas separate entries, so do not use a comma inside a single name.
Questions about this tool
Can the same name be picked twice?
Not in one draw, unless you typed it twice in the list.
Can I use it for giveaway winners?
Yes. Paste the participants, set the number of winners and take a screenshot to record the result.
Is my list sent to a server?
No. The draw runs in your browser and the names never leave your device.
