How it is calculated
Score needed = (target − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight, with the weight as a decimal (30% = 0.3).
Example
Inputs: Current grade = 82 %, Final exam weight = 30 %, Target course grade = 85 %. Result: Score needed on the final: 92%; Verdict: Reachable.
Limits and caveats
- It assumes everything except the final is graded and your current grade is out of 100.
- It does not apply special rules such as a minimum score required on the final itself.
