How it is calculated

Gross = basic + housing + transport + other allowances. GOSI = employee rate × (basic + housing), capped at 45,000, for Saudis only. Net = gross − GOSI − other deductions.

Example

Inputs: Nationality = Saudi, Basic salary = 10,000 SAR, Housing allowance = 2,500 SAR, Transport allowance = 1,000 SAR, Other allowances = 500 SAR. Result: Net monthly salary: 12,781.25 SAR; Gross salary: 14,000.00 SAR; GOSI deduction: 1,218.75 SAR.

Limits and caveats

  • Saudi Arabia has no personal income tax on salaries, so none is shown.
  • The default 9.75% GOSI rate is for existing subscribers; it may be higher if you registered from July 2024.
