How it is calculated
Total = (transport + lodging + food + activities + other) × (1 + contingency % ÷ 100). Per person = total ÷ people.
Example
Inputs: Transport and tickets = 2,000, Lodging = 1,500, Food = 800, Activities and entry fees = 500, Other costs = 200. Result: Cost per person: 2,750.00; Total trip cost: 5,500.00; Contingency amount: 500.00.
Limits and caveats
- Costs are split evenly, with no difference between child and adult fares.
- The contingency rate is your own estimate, not a fixed rule.

Do I enter ticket costs per person or for the group?
Enter every amount for the whole group. The tool divides the total by the number of people.
What contingency rate makes sense?
Many travelers keep 10% to 15% for surprises. Set it to zero if you want the net figure.
Can I use it for an Umrah or Hajj trip?
Yes. Put the package or flights under transport and the hotel under lodging, then add the rest.
