How to use it
- Enter sex, body weight and total (squat + bench + deadlift).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Wilks score = total in kg × 500 ÷ (a + bx + cx² + dx³ + ex⁴ + fx⁵), where x is body weight in kg and the coefficients are the original Wilks values for each sex.
Example
Inputs: Sex = Female, Body weight = 63 kg, Total (squat + bench + deadlift) = 320 kg. Result: Wilks score: 343.67; Wilks coefficient: 1.074.
Limits and caveats
- It uses the original Wilks formula from before the 2020 update, the version found in most older rankings.
- The IPF now uses GL points, so official rankings may differ.
Questions about this tool
What is the Wilks score for?
It lets you compare a 60 kg lifter with a 120 kg lifter, since raw totals always favor heavier lifters.
How is Wilks different from DOTS?
Both scale the total by body weight, but DOTS is a newer formula many consider fairer across weight classes.
Can I enter the total in pounds?
No, the formula is built on kilograms. Divide pounds by about 2.2046 first.
