Questions
- How to rotate PDF pagesHow to rotate all pages of a PDF or chosen pages by 90 or 180 degrees and save the right orientation for good, with no loss in content quality.
- I rotated a page 90 degrees and it came out upside down instead of upright. Why?Rotation is added to the angle already stored in the page, not swapped in, so a page stored at 90 goes to 180. Check the thumbnails and fix it before downloading.
- My page is lying on its side. Do I press Right 90 or Left 90 to stand it up?Look at where the top of the text points: if it points left, press Right 90; if it points right, press Left 90. A quick rule with worked examples from the tool.
- Does rotating just one page break the digital signature on a contract?Yes. Rotation is saved into the file, so the file is re-saved and a digital signature no longer validates, however small the change. When a rotated copy is fine.
- After a double-sided scan every back page came out upside down. How do I fix them all at once?Choose Selected pages, type the even pages and press 180° once. That fixes every upside-down back together, and the thumbnails confirm it before you download.
- Does rotating keep my PDF's bookmarks and links, unlike splitting and merging?Rotation edits each page's orientation value inside the same document and saves it, so the file is not rebuilt as with split and merge. What stays, and how to check.
- How do I rotate all 400 pages of a scanned book without waiting for every thumbnail?Choose All pages and press the rotation button straight away, with no selecting and no waiting for thumbnails. Why export is relatively quick, and the tested limits.
- After rotating, my code still reads the old page width and height. Why?The tool stores the angle as the page rotation and leaves the MediaBox alone, so raw dimensions stay while viewers show the page turned. Reading the right size in code.
- I pressed rotate four times, then download, and it says no page has been rotated. Why?Turns add up and wrap at 360, so four presses of Right 90° cancel out. The other cause: Selected pages with no page selected. How to fix both.
- I made a PDF from phone photos and some are sideways. Should I rotate the photos first or rotate the PDF pages afterwards? If you have not made the PDF yet, rotate the photos first so each is laid out upright. If the PDF exists, rotate its pages with no recompression of the images.
- I received a password-protected PDF with sideways pages. Can the rotate tool fix it?Not while it is protected: the tool refuses encrypted files and never bypasses protection. Ask the sender for a fixed copy, or save an unprotected copy if allowed.
- I downloaded the rotated file and then noticed I turned the wrong page. How do I undo it?Your original never changed, so start from it. If only the rotated copy is left, turn the page back by the opposite angle: Left 90 undoes Right 90.
- A customer sent me a PDF on WhatsApp with sideways pages. How do I rotate it on my phone and send it back?Save the document from the chat to your phone's files, rotate the pages in your browser with the buttons, then share the file ending in rotated back in the same chat.
