Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter braille.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Each cell is matched against the UEB grade 1 table; after ⠼ the cells a to j read as digits until a space, ⠠ capitalises the next letter and ⠠⠠ the whole word.
Example
Result: Text: Hello 2026; Characters decoded: 9; Cells not recognised: None.
⠠⠓⠑⠇⠇⠕ ⠼⠃⠚⠃⠋
Hello 2026
Limits and caveats
- Grade 2 contractions are not expanded, so a contracted cell reads as one letter and the text may look wrong.
- Only Unicode Braille symbols are read, not photos of Braille or ASCII Braille.
