How to use it

  1. Enter item 1 price, item 2 price, item 3 price (optional), item 4 price (optional), bundle discount and total cost of the items (optional).
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Full price = sum of item prices. Bundle price = full price × (1 - discount ÷ 100). Margin = (bundle price - cost) ÷ bundle price × 100.

Example

Inputs: Item 1 price = 100, Item 2 price = 60, Item 3 price (optional) = 40, Bundle discount = 15 %, Total cost of the items (optional) = 120. Result: Bundle price: 170.00; Full price without discount: 200.00; Customer saving: 30.00.

Limits and caveats

  • The cost you enter should include any bundle packaging.
  • It does not compare with what the customer would have bought anyway, which decides the real extra profit.

Questions about this tool

What bundle discount is typical?

It depends on your margins; what matters is that the bundle margin stays positive and acceptable. Try a few rates.

Why is the profit negative?

The bundle price after discount is below the cost of its items, so lower the discount or change the items.

Should I add a slow seller to the bundle?

It is a common way to clear stock, as long as the overall margin stays acceptable.
