- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
CPA = cost ÷ conversions. Rearranged: cost = CPA × conversions, and conversions = cost ÷ CPA.
Example
Inputs: Solve for = CPA (cost per conversion), Total cost = 2,000, Conversions = 40, CPA (cost per conversion) = 50. Result: Cost per acquisition: 50.00.
Limits and caveats
- Platforms attribute conversions with different time windows, so counts may differ from your store records.
- Estimates assume CPA stays flat as spend grows; it usually rises when you scale.
Questions about this tool
How is CPA different from CAC?
CPA is the ad cost of any action you define, such as a purchase or sign-up. CAC is the cost of winning a new customer and usually includes all marketing and sales costs.
What is the highest CPA I can afford?
If the conversion is a purchase, the break-even limit is the order profit before ads: price minus product, shipping and fees.
Should I use platform or store conversions?
Pick one source and stick with it. Store numbers are closer to reality; platform numbers help compare ads within that platform.
