Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter date, time, seconds and time zone of the date entered.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Timestamp = (days since 1970-01-01 × 86400) + seconds into the day - zone offset in seconds. Milliseconds = timestamp × 1000.
Example
Inputs: Date = 2026-10-01, Time = 09:30, Seconds = 0, Time zone of the date entered = Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). Result: Unix timestamp (seconds): 1790836200.
Limits and caveats
- On a daylight-saving change day, a skipped time moves forward and a repeated time uses its first occurrence.
- Zone offsets and daylight saving come from your browser time-zone database and can differ for very old dates.
Questions about this tool
Why does the timestamp change with the time zone?
Because 09:30 in Riyadh is a different moment from 09:30 in London. A timestamp marks a single UTC instant.
When do I need milliseconds instead of seconds?
JavaScript, Java and many APIs use milliseconds, while PHP, Python and Unix databases usually use seconds.
Does it handle dates before 1970?
Yes. Any date from year 1 to 1969 gives a negative timestamp.
