How to use it

  1. Enter selling price, product cost, shipping you pay, marketplace commission, payment processing fee and fixed fee per order.
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Fees = price × (commission % + payment %) + fixed fee. Net profit = price − fees − product cost − shipping − other costs. Break-even price = (cost + shipping + fixed fee + other) ÷ (1 − total fee %).

Example

Inputs: Selling price = 200, Product cost = 90, Shipping you pay = 15, Marketplace commission = 10 %, Payment processing fee = 2.5 %. Result: Net profit per order: 68.00; Total marketplace fees: 27.00; Net margin on price: 34%.

Limits and caveats

  • Commission varies by category and country and may include VAT, so copy the rate from your seller account.
  • Monthly storage and return fees are not included; add their per-order share under other costs.

Questions about this tool

Is the commission charged on price plus shipping?

Here commission and payment fees apply to the price you enter. If your marketplace charges them on price plus shipping, enter the combined amount as the price.

What does the break-even price mean?

It is the lowest selling price that leaves zero net profit after every fee and cost. Selling below it loses money on each order.

Why is my margin negative?

Your fees and costs are larger than the selling price. Raise the price or cut product or shipping cost.
