How to use it
- Enter sales to date, days elapsed, days in period and period target (optional).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Daily rate = sales to date ÷ days elapsed. Projection = daily rate × days in period. Needed per day = (target - sales to date) ÷ days left.
Example
Inputs: Sales to date = 42,000, Days elapsed = 12, Days in period = 30, Period target (optional) = 120,000. Result: Projected period sales: 105,000.00; Current daily rate: 3,500.00; Projection as share of target: 87.5%.
Limits and caveats
- Treats every day alike, ignoring weekends, paydays and seasons.
- Early in the period the projection is shaky because the sample is small.
