How it is calculated

- Decide whether sick leave counts as absence and keep it the same each period.
Questions about this tool
How do I work out absenteeism for a month?
Add up days absent for everyone and divide by employees × working days. 30 days across 25 people and 22 days gives 5.45%.
How do I enter half days?
Enter them as fractions: half a day absent is 0.5.
Can I use hours instead of days?
Yes. Enter hours absent in place of days and each person's available hours in place of working days; the rate stays correct.
