- My sheet has two columns both called price. Why did one of them get a different name in the JSON?A JSON object cannot hold the same key twice, so a repeated column gets a number added. What exactly happens, where the note appears, and why to name columns first.
- My supplier's CSV has no header row. How do I convert it to JSON without losing the first data row?Without a header row, the first data line becomes the key names and vanishes from the result. Untick 'First row holds column names' to get one array per row.
- Can I copy cells from Google Sheets or Excel and paste them straight in to get JSON?Cells copied from a spreadsheet paste as tab-separated text, and auto-detect recognises it. How to get JSON from your sheet without saving a CSV file first.
- The tool says the problem is in row 5, but line 5 in my editor looks fine. Where is the error really?Cells with line breaks inside quotes, such as two-line addresses, make record numbers drift from editor line numbers. How to find the right row quickly.
- I have a JSON list of emails. How do I turn it into a single CSV column? An array of simple values, like a list of emails, is written to CSV as one column headed value. How to get it, and why mixing strings and objects is refused.
- I converted an API response to CSV and got one row with dozens of columns instead of one row per order. Why?A response wrapped in an outer object such as count and orders is a single object, so it becomes one row. Paste only the inner array to get a row per order.
- I got a long ad link full of codes after the question mark. How can I read the parameters inside it one by one?Paste an ad link into the URL encoder to see a table of its parts: host, path and every parameter after the ?, decoded, including Arabic campaign names.
- Decoding a text that contains '50% off' gives an error about the % sign. How should a percentage be written in a link?A bare % is invalid in encoded text, because every % must be followed by two hex digits. Why decoding fails, and how to put a discount percentage in a link.
- When encoding a search phrase, should the space become + or %20?%20 is correct anywhere in a URL, while + means a space only inside form-style query values. When to use each, and how to set the option in the encoder.
- I put a product link with ?id=5&c=red inside a WhatsApp message link, and it gets cut at the &. How do I encode it?The & in your product link looks to a wa.me link like the start of a new parameter, so everything after it is lost. Encode the link in Component mode first.
- My product link shows %25D9 instead of Arabic letters and opens an error page. How do I get it back to the right form?%25 is an encoded % sign, so %25D9 means the link was encoded twice. How to recognise double encoding and repair it by decoding one step at a time.
- A message has a link that starts with a well-known platform name but is long and encoded. How can I tell which site it really opens?Paste a suspicious link into the URL encoder without opening it. The parts table shows the real host, and warns when a familiar name before @ is not the site.
- My store uses an Arabic domain name. Why does the link parts table show the host as letters starting with xn--?Arabic domain names travel as Punycode, which starts with xn--, while the path after them uses % codes. Two mechanisms for two parts of one link, with a real example.
- I want a 'Contact us' button that opens a new email with a ready subject. How do I write the mailto link correctly?A mailto link carries the subject and body as query values, so encode each value on its own in Component mode. A real example with a colon, digits and Arabic.
- A courier's JSON response contains the shipping label as a long Base64 string. How do I turn it back into a file I can open?Paste the Base64 value from a courier's response into the decoder. It recognises the file type from its signature (PNG, JPEG, PDF and more) and lets you download it.
- Encoding an Arabic word to Base64 with another tool gave an error, or odd symbols when decoded. Why?The old btoa shortcut treats each character as one byte, so it fails on Arabic or garbles it. Correct Base64 goes through UTF-8 bytes first, which is why it is longer.
- My developer sent me a JWT access token for a store integration. Can I read it here, and does decoding it mean it is genuine? The middle part of a JWT is URL-safe Base64 without padding, and the tool decodes it to JSON. Decoding does not check the signature, and the token is a secret.
- The Base64 I copied from an email is split across many lines. Do I need to remove the line breaks before decoding?Line breaks and spaces are not part of the Base64 alphabet, so the tool skips them, tells you how many, and decodes the rest. A > quote marker is still refused.
- I am putting a Base64 value inside a link. Should I choose the URL-safe alphabet, drop the = signs, or both?Standard Base64 can contain + and /, which mean something in a URL, so the URL-safe alphabet uses - and _ instead. Dropping = is optional. A real example.
- I decoded Base64 from a message and got an error saying the number of symbols cannot come from a correct encoding. Is the text cut off?Base64 comes in groups of 4 symbols, and one leftover symbol cannot come from a valid encoding, so the tool refuses it. What that means, and how it differs from padding.
- What should I put as source and medium for the link in my Instagram bio so I can see how many orders it brings?A bio link is permanent, so give it fixed UTM values your ads and stories never share: source instagram, medium social, campaign bio. Worked link included.
- I post on Snapchat for free and also run Snapchat ads. How do I keep paid ad visits apart from ordinary story visits in my reports?Keep the source snapchat on both links and change only the medium: social for stories, paid_social for the ad. Then judge the ad's orders against its spend.
- Why do visits from my WhatsApp broadcast messages show up as direct traffic in analytics, and how can I tell they came from WhatsApp?Apps often open a link without telling your site where the visitor came from, so the visit is filed as direct. The fix is a link that carries WhatsApp in its UTM tags.
- I published the same offer as a story, a post and a reel. How can I tell which one the order came from?Three links with the same source, medium and campaign that differ only in utm_content: the campaign total stays in one row and you can still split it by placement.
