Questions
- Your page title and description in search resultsHow to write a product page's title and description as they might appear in search results, roughly how long they should be, and why search engines may rewrite them.
- My Arabic page title has about the same number of characters as the English one. Why is its width different in the preview?Search results cut text by its width on screen, not its character count, and Arabic and Latin letters differ in width. How to read the width check for an Arabic title.
- My Salla or Zid store has fields for the product's search engine title and description. What should I write there, and how can I preview it before saving?Write a title that names the product clearly and a description that answers why this page, preview both with the real URL, then paste the text, not the tags.
- Should my store name go at the start of the page title or at the end after a separator? On product pages, the product goes first and the store name last, so if the title is cut, the name drops, not the product. The home page is the exception.
- Why does the tool warn me when my description is identical to the page title? Isn't repeating the product name simpler?A repeated description wastes the second line of your result and tells the searcher nothing new. When the warning fires, what it misses, and what to write instead.
- Should I put emoji like ✅ or 🚚 in my page's search description? You can, but search engines decide whether to show them, so the text must read well without them. How the tool counts emoji, and why a flag counts as two.
- I pasted a URL with ?utm_source and #reviews. Why does that part not appear in the preview's link line? The preview's link line shows only host and path, leaves out what follows ? and #, and says so. Why tracking tags do not belong on the URL you want indexed.
- My product page URL is in Arabic. How will it look in the link line under the title in search results? The preview decodes each path segment, so an Arabic URL shows as readable words separated by ›, while an Arabic domain shows in its xn-- form. Worked examples of both.
- My description fits in the desktop preview but gets cut in the mobile one. Why, and which should I go by?The tool compares one width with two observed guides, about 920 px on desktop and 680 px on mobile, not published limits. How to make your first sentence stand alone.
- Should the SEO title be identical to the product heading shown on the page? Not word for word: the on-page heading serves someone already there, the title must win the click in a list. But they should agree, or engines may rewrite the title.
- My product title mixes Arabic with an English brand name, like an Arabic word followed by Dior Sauvage, and the order looks scrambled. How do I fix it?A title's direction follows its first letter: Arabic reads right to left, Latin left to right. Try both orders in the preview and keep the one that reads naturally.
- What happens if I leave the meta description empty?Your page can still appear, but the engine picks text from the page to show under the title, maybe a menu or shipping notice. What the tool does when it is empty.
- I changed my page title days ago but search results still show the old one. Did I do something wrong?A result only changes after the engine revisits your page, which can take days or longer. How to confirm the new title is live, and how to ask for a recrawl.
- Can I preview how a new page will look in search results before I publish it on my store?Yes. The tool never visits the URL or checks the page exists, so a planned address in a valid https:// form works. An example for an Eid collection page before launch.
- The product title I copied from my supplier is 135 characters long and stuffed with repeated words. How do I shorten it into a good page title?Keep the product type, what sets it apart and your store name; drop repeated words, generic claims and audience lists. Worked example: 135 characters down to 35.
