Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter monthly basic salary, monthly allowances, employer social insurance rate, contribution is on, other monthly benefits (medical and so on) and yearly costs (visa, tickets, hiring).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Employer contribution = rate × (basic, or basic + allowances). Monthly cost = basic + allowances + contribution + monthly benefits + (yearly costs ÷ 12). Yearly = monthly × 12.
Example
Inputs: Monthly basic salary = 8,000, Monthly allowances = 2,500, Employer social insurance rate = 12 %, Contribution is on = Basic and allowances, Other monthly benefits (medical and so on) = 500. Result: Monthly cost to company: 12,760.00; Yearly cost: 153,120.00; Employer contribution per month: 1,260.00.
Limits and caveats
- The insurance rate is an example to edit; the right rate depends on the country, the employee nationality and start date.
- End of service provision is not included; add it to monthly benefits if you want it.
Questions about this tool
Why does an employee cost more than their salary?
On top of pay the company covers social insurance, medical cover, residency, tickets and hiring costs, so total cost is usually well above salary.
What insurance rate should I enter?
Enter the employer rate your country applies to this employee; the social insurance authority publishes it. It often differs for citizens and expatriates.
How do I add end of service provision?
Estimate one year of the benefit, divide by 12, and add it to the monthly benefits field.
