How to use it
- Enter weight.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
cups = grams ÷ 120. tbsp = cups × 16, tsp = cups × 48, metric cups = cups × 236.59 ÷ 250. The kitchen measure is rounded to the nearest 1/4 tsp.
Example
Inputs: Weight = 250 g. Result: US cups: 2.08 cups; Tablespoons: 33.3 tbsp; Teaspoons: 100 tsp.
Limits and caveats
- Scooping the cup straight from the bag packs the flour and adds noticeable weight; the figure assumes spoon and level.
- The kitchen measure is rounded to the nearest 1/4 tsp, and chart figures to the gram.
- Metric cup (250 mL) and spoon values are scaled by volume from the 236.59 mL US cup figure.
Questions about this tool
How many cups is 250 g of flour?
250 g is about 2.08 US cups, or 2 cups + 1 tbsp + 1 tsp, at 120 g per cup.
Why does my cup of flour weigh more than 120 g?
Usually because the cup was dipped into the bag, which packs the flour. Spoon it in and level it with a knife to get close to 120 g.
Is the result in US or metric cups?
The main result is in 236.59 mL US cups, which the chart uses, and metric 250 mL cups are shown too: 250 g of flour is 1.97 metric cups.
