Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter list: item, quantity, then price on each line, tax to add (0 if prices include it) and your budget (optional).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Line value = quantity × unit price (quantity 1 if only one number is given). Subtotal = sum of lines. Tax = subtotal × rate ÷ 100. Total = subtotal + tax.
Example
Inputs: Tax to add (0 if prices include it) = 15 %, Your budget (optional) = 120. Result: Total: 101.20; Subtotal: 88.00; Tax: 13.20.
Limits and caveats
- It reads the last two numbers on a line as quantity then price, so do not put the price first.
- It does not know shop prices; the prices are yours.
Questions about this tool
How do I write the items?
One line per item: the name, the quantity, then the price, like "Milk 2 x 6.5". A single number counts as the price of one.
Should I add tax?
If shelf prices already include tax, leave the rate at zero; otherwise enter your local rate.
Can quantities have decimals?
Yes, such as 1.5 kg of apples at 8 per kg, which makes the line 12.
