How to use it
- Enter hijri day, hijri month, hijri year and age on this date.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
The Gregorian day matching the Hijri date is found from the Umm al-Qura tables, then whole Hijri months to the calculation date and the remaining days are counted; the Gregorian age is counted the same way.
Example
Inputs: Hijri day = 20, Hijri month = 10. Shawwal, Hijri year = 1,410, Age on this date = 2026-09-30. Result: Your Hijri age: 37 years, 5 months, 28 days; Gregorian birth date: Tuesday, May 15, 1990 (1990-05-15); Day of birth: Tuesday.
Limits and caveats
- The conversion follows Umm al-Qura; older birth records based on moon sighting can differ by a day or two.
- Day 30 is rejected for months that have 29 days in Umm al-Qura.
Questions about this tool
How do I find my age if my birth date is Hijri?
Pick the day and month and type the Hijri year to get your Hijri and Gregorian age and your Gregorian birth date.
Why did it say the month has 29 days?
That month had 29 days in the Umm al-Qura calendar that year, so it has no day 30.
Is the Gregorian date exact?
It matches the Umm al-Qura calendar and can differ by a day from a date fixed by moon sighting.
