How it is calculated
Subtotal = rate × nights × rooms. Taxes = subtotal × rate % ÷ 100. Total = subtotal + taxes. Check-out = check-in + nights.
Example
Inputs: Check-in date = 2026-10-01, Nights = 3, Nightly rate = 400, Rooms = 1, Taxes and fees = 15 %. Result: Total with taxes: 1,380.00; Subtotal: 1,200.00; Taxes and fees: 180.00.
Limits and caveats
- Tax and fee rates differ by country and city, so adjust them to your hotel's bill.
- Different weekend and weekday rates are not handled.
Questions about this tool
How are nights counted?
Each night you sleep there counts once, so arriving on the 1st and leaving on the 4th is 3 nights.
Why is the default 15%?
It is the VAT rate in Saudi Arabia. Municipal or tourism fees may be added, so change it for your destination.
Is the rate per room or per person?
