Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter bag 1, bag 2, bag 3, bag 4, allowance and fee per extra kg.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Total = sum of bag weights. Difference = allowance − total. Excess fee = excess kg × fee per extra kg.
Example
Inputs: Bag 1 = 23 kg, Bag 2 = 12 kg, Allowance = 30 kg, Fee per extra kg = 50. Result: Total weight: 35 kg; Weight left: 0 kg; Excess weight: 5 kg.
Limits and caveats
- Some airlines use a piece concept with a limit per bag rather than a total weight.
- Excess fees vary by airline and route, so enter the rate from your airline.
Questions about this tool
Should I include my carry-on?
Only if your airline counts it in the same allowance. Cabin bags usually have their own limit.
How can I weigh a bag at home?
Weigh yourself holding it and subtract your own weight, or use a hanging luggage scale.
What if my ticket uses the piece system?
Compare each bag with the per-piece limit, such as 23 kg, instead of the total.
