How it is calculated
Overtime hours = max(0, hours worked - regular limit). Overtime pay = overtime hours × hourly rate × multiplier.
Example
Inputs: Hours worked in the period = 54 h, Regular hours limit = 48 h, Hourly rate = 25, Overtime multiplier = 1.5. Result: Overtime hours: 6 h; Regular hours: 48 h; Regular pay: 1,200.00.
Limits and caveats
- The regular limit and the multiplier depend on your country and contract, so enter the ones that apply.
- It works on one period (a day or a week) and does not separate night or holiday hours.
- If the law bases the premium on basic pay only, enter your basic hourly rate.
