Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter digits, how many pins, skip weak pins and draw number.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Possible PINs = 10^L. Skipping weak ones removes 10 same-digit codes plus (11 - L) ascending and (11 - L) descending runs for lengths up to 10. Strength in bits = log2 of the possible PINs.
Example
Inputs: Digits = 4, How many PINs = 1, Skip weak PINs = yes, Draw number = 1. Result: PIN: 6239; Possible PINs: 9,976; Strength (entropy): 13.28 bits.
Limits and caveats
- Only repeated and sequential patterns are skipped. The tool cannot know your birthday or other personal numbers, so avoid those yourself.
- Some devices accept only certain lengths, so check before use.
Questions about this tool
Which PINs count as weak here?
Same-digit codes such as 0000 and 7777, ascending runs such as 1234 and descending runs such as 9876.
Is a 6-digit PIN much stronger than 4?
Yes. Six digits give a million possibilities against only 10,000 for four, a hundred times more.
Is the PIN stored anywhere?
No. It is generated in your browser and never sent or saved.
