How it is calculated
Date the age is reached = birth date + (years × 12 + months) months. The child qualifies if that date is on or before the cut-off date. Age on the cut-off is in years, months and days.

Inputs: Child's date of birth = 2021-08-15, Cut-off date = 2027-09-01, Required age = 6 years, Extra months = 0 months. Result: Result: Eligible; Age on the cut-off date: 6 years, 0 months, 17 days; Reaches the required age on: Sunday, August 15, 2027 (2027-08-15).
Limits and caveats
- The entry age and cut-off date are set by the ministry or school and change between countries and years; take them from the official notice.
- Some authorities count age on the Hijri calendar; this tool uses the Gregorian one.
