Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Enter distance, fuel consumption, price per liter, people sharing the cost and round trip.
  2. The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
  3. Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.

How it is calculated

Fuel (L) = distance × consumption ÷ 100; cost = fuel × price per liter; share = cost ÷ number of people. The round-trip option doubles the distance.

Example

Inputs: Distance = 500 km, Fuel consumption = 8 L/100 km, Price per liter = 2.33, People sharing the cost = 1, Round trip = no. Result: Fuel cost: 93.20; Fuel needed: 40 L; Cost per person: 93.20.

Limits and caveats

  • Real consumption changes with speed, traffic, air conditioning and load, so use your car's measured figure if you have it.
  • Road tolls and parking are not included.

Questions about this tool

How do I find my car's consumption?

Fill the tank, note the odometer, drive, fill up again and divide the liters by the kilometers, then multiply by 100. The odometer fuel consumption calculator does this for you.

Which currency is the result in?

The same currency as the price you enter, whether riyal, dirham, pound or any other.

My car shows km per liter. What do I enter?

Divide 100 by that number. For example, 12.5 km/L equals 8 L/100 km.
