How it is calculated
Person-days = sum of everyone days. Cost per person-day = bill ÷ person-days. Share = own days × cost per person-day.
Example
Inputs: Bill amount = 900. Result: Each person pays: Ali: 360.00; Sara: 360.00; Omar: 180.00; Cost per person-day: 12.00; Total person-days: 75.
Limits and caveats
- It assumes everyone uses the same amount per day, whether they work from home or are out all day.
- Fixed charges on the bill are also split by days; take them out and split them evenly if you agree to.

When not everyone stayed for the whole billing period, such as a housemate away for two weeks or moving in mid-month.
Can I count half days?
Yes, you can enter decimal days such as 12.5 if you all agree.
What about fixed service fees?
If you want those split evenly, take them off the bill here and divide them separately.
