How it is calculated

Grams = sticks × 113.3980925, as a stick is 1/4 lb and 1 lb = 453.59237 g exactly. 1 stick = 8 tbsp = 1/2 cup.

Example

Inputs: Butter sticks = 2. Result: Weight in grams: 226.8 g; Tablespoons: 16 tbsp; US cups: 1 cups.

Limits and caveats

  • It uses the standard 1/4 lb US stick; European packs often come in 125 g or 250 g blocks.
  • Tablespoons and cups follow the stick wrapper markings, not a measured cup.
