How it is calculated
Base = days × (daily rate + daily insurance). Extra km = driven − (daily allowance × days). Total = (base + extra km × rate + fees) × (1 + tax % ÷ 100).
Example
Inputs: Rental days = 5 days, Daily rate = 150, Daily insurance = 30, Expected kilometers = 800 km, Free km per day (0 = unlimited) = 250 km. Result: Expected total: 1,035.00; Extra kilometers: 0 km; Extra km cost: 0.00.
Limits and caveats
- Fuel, fines and the card deposit are not included.
- Some companies set the free km for the whole rental rather than per day.
