Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter column, separator, quotes and remove duplicates.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
The text is split into lines, each item is trimmed, blank lines are skipped, each item is wrapped in the chosen quote and the items are joined with the separator. A quote inside an item is doubled.
Example
Inputs: Separator = Comma and space, Quotes = None, Remove duplicates = no. Result: Result: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Mecca; Items: 4.
Riyadh Jeddah Dammam Mecca
Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Mecca
Limits and caveats
- An item that contains the separator itself is only safe when you choose quotes.
- Duplicate removal is case sensitive.
Questions about this tool
How do I prepare a list for an SQL IN clause?
Choose single quotes with comma and space, and the result looks like 'a', 'b', ready to go inside the brackets.
Does it work with a column copied from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Cells copied from one column arrive one per line and convert directly.
What happens to empty cells?
Blank lines are skipped, so the result has no double separators.
