How to use it
- Enter panel power, number of panels, peak sun hours, system efficiency and price per kwh.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Daily kWh = panel W × count × peak sun hours × efficiency ÷ 1000. Monthly = daily × 30. Yearly = daily × 365.
Example
Inputs: Panel power = 550 W, Number of panels = 10, Peak sun hours = 6 h/day, System efficiency = 80 %, Price per kWh = 0.18 per kWh. Result: Daily output: 26.4 kWh; Monthly output (30 days): 792 kWh; Yearly output: 9,636 kWh.
Limits and caveats
- Real output changes with season, heat and dust; this is an average estimate.
- The money value uses one flat price with no tiers.
Questions about this tool
How much does a 550 W panel produce per day?
With 6 peak sun hours and 80% efficiency, about 2.64 kWh a day.
Why does a panel not deliver its rated power?
Ratings use standard test conditions; heat, dust, wiring and inverter losses reduce output.
How do I find peak sun hours for my city?
Use a solar resource map such as PVWatts or the Global Solar Atlas for your location.
