Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter text.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Each digit becomes U+2080 plus its value; + − = ( ) become U+208A to U+208E; the letters a e h i j k l m n o p r s t u v x use their subscripts such as ₐ (U+2090) and ᵢ (U+1D62).

Limits and caveats
- These are Unicode symbols, not a font: screen readers may read them as symbol names or skip them, and in-app search may not match them.
- Unicode has subscripts for only 17 small letters, so other letters and all capitals stay as typed, which suits chemical formulas.
Questions about this tool
How do I write water, H₂O?
Type H2O as is: H and O stay capitals and only the 2 turns into ₂.
Why did some letters not change?
Unicode has no subscript for every letter, such as b, c, d and all capitals.
Is it fine for scientific papers?
In papers use your editor's subscript formatting; these characters suit messages, posts and simple tables.
