How to use it

- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
teaspoons = grams ÷ 2.667 g and tablespoons = grams ÷ 8 g, from the source: 1 cup = 128 g. The teaspoon and tablespoon figures are derived by volume from the listed one (1 tbsp = 3 tsp, 1 cup = 48 tsp). The spoon measure is rounded to the nearest 1/4 teaspoon. For metric spoons the weight is multiplied by the volume ratio: 5 ÷ 4.929 for a teaspoon and 15 ÷ 14.787 for a tablespoon, about 1.4% more.
Example
Inputs: Weight = 50 g, Measuring spoons = US spoons (as in the source). Result: Tablespoons: 6.25; Teaspoons: 18.75; As a spoon measure: 6 tbsp + 3/4 tsp.
Limits and caveats
- The spoon measure is rounded to the nearest 1/4 teaspoon; the decimal count is more exact.
- The spoon weight is derived from the USDA cup figure (128 g); cornstarch packed down in the box gives a heavier spoon.
