Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter promoters (9 or 10), passives (7 or 8) and detractors (0 to 6).
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
NPS = % promoters − % detractors, where each share = group count ÷ total responses × 100. The result runs from −100 to 100.
Example
Inputs: Promoters (9 or 10) = 60, Passives (7 or 8) = 25, Detractors (0 to 6) = 15. Result: Net Promoter Score: 45; Promoters: 60%; Passives: 25%.
Limits and caveats
- Small samples swing a lot; a few answers can move the score sharply.
- NPS measures intent to recommend, not actual buying behaviour.
Questions about this tool
Why is the score not shown as a percentage?
NPS is the difference between two percentages, so it is a number from −100 to 100. A score of 30 means promoters outnumber detractors by 30 points.
Do passives count?
Only in the total. They lower both the promoter and detractor shares but are not added or subtracted directly.
Does a negative NPS mean failure?
It means detractors outnumber promoters among respondents. Compare with your past scores and the reasons in comments before judging.
