Limits and caveats

  • Which day count to use (30, calendar days or working days) is set by the contract or labour law.
  • Other dues such as leave pay or end of service benefit are not included.

Questions about this tool

I started on the 13th of a 30-day month. What am I owed?

You are owed 18 days, the 13th to the 30th. On 9,000 a month that is 5,400.

Divide by 30 or by the actual days in the month?

It depends on the contract or company policy. Many Gulf employers use 30 for every month; others use calendar days.

Do weekends count as days owed?

With calendar days, yes, weekends fall inside the period. If you use working days, enter working days in both fields.
