- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Grams = volume in mL × 1.0356 g/mL. The density comes from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy, "Yogurt, plain, whole milk"): one US cup (236.59 mL) of plain yogurt weighs 245 g. 1 oz = 28.3495 g.
Example
Inputs: Amount = 1, Measure = US cup (236.6 mL), Density = 1.0356 g/mL. Result: Weight in grams: 245 g; Weight in ounces: 8.64 oz; Volume in millilitres: 236.6 mL.
Limits and caveats
- Greek and strained yogurt are denser; edit the density or weigh it directly.
- Whisked yogurt holds air and weighs less.
