- Is the text I paste to remove diacritics uploaded anywhere? No. Removal happens inside your browser, character by character, and the text is never uploaded or stored. Fine for book manuscripts, course notes and client documents.
- What's the difference between removing diacritics and normalizing hamza forms and ta marbuta, and which one does my store search need?Stripping diacritics removes vowel marks only, so أَحْمَد becomes أحمد, not احمد. Folding أ إ آ into ا and ة into ه is a separate step that changes spelling.
- The tool says it found more marks than it removed and that some were kept; why? Some groups are off by default, like the superscript alef in هٰذا, so their marks are counted but kept. How to read the counters, and when to turn the group on.
- After removing diacritics from a verse, the end-of-ayah sign around its number disappeared; what happened? The Quranic signs group includes visible signs: end of ayah, rub el hizb and sajdah. Turning it on removes content. Leave it off, its default, and the sign stays.
- The Arabic font in my design app draws diacritics overlapping and messy on my ad post; how do I remove them but keep only the shadda?Switch off the shadda group and leave the rest on: harakat, tanwin and sukun go while the shadda stays, so words like الصّيف remain clear. Real ad headline examples.
- The customer names column in one Excel file has diacritics and the other doesn't, so names don't match between the files; how do I fix it?Copy the names column, strip the diacritics and paste it back: مُحَمَّد عَلِيّ becomes محمد علي and matches. Line order is kept; hamza forms are not unified.
- I like the stretched look in my posts but my stretches are long and uneven; can I shorten them instead of removing them completely?Shorten mode turns every run of two or more tatweel characters into exactly one, so each stretched word keeps a short, even stretch instead of losing it.
- I wrote my offers hashtag with a stretched letter because it looks nicer; why doesn't it show up with posts using the same hashtag without the stretch? The stretch is a real character (U+0640), so a stretched hashtag is different text from the plain one. Remove it from the caption before posting.
- How do I find out how many product names in my file contain stretched letters before I clean it?Paste your product names into the tatweel remover: «Tatweel found» shows the size of the problem and «Words affected» how many words carry a stretch.
- Does removing tatweel change anything else in my text, like diacritics, numbers or English words? No. Only the kashida (U+0640) is deleted; letters, diacritics, digits, punctuation and Latin text pass through, and a tatweel carrying a mark stays by default.
- I copied Arabic text from a justified PDF and it came out with stretched letters nobody typed; how do I clean it?Some layout programs justify Arabic lines by inserting tatweel characters, and copying brings them along. Remove them all; the words and their reading do not change.
- Do stretched letters make my message longer in characters than the same message without them?Yes. Every tatweel is a character of its own and two bytes, so a short stretched phrase can run 60% longer in characters while the word count stays the same.
- Customers sent their mobile numbers in Arabic-Indic digits; how do I convert them all at once to build WhatsApp links?A customer list written ٠٥٥ instead of 055? Convert every number to Western digits in one pass, keep the names, then build WhatsApp chat links from it.
- A staff member typed an order number on a phone with a Persian or Urdu keyboard; why can't search find it when the number looks right?۴۵۶ looks like ٤٥٦ but they are different characters, so an order search comes back empty. How to spot the difference and unify digits before you search.
- I'm designing a printed café price menu and want the numbers in Arabic-Indic style; how do I convert them from my existing text?Menu text with prices like 25 and 7 that you want as ٢٥ and ٧ for print? Convert the prices alone, keep the words, and decide on the Arabic decimal mark.
- I converted «15% off» to Arabic-Indic digits and the % sign stayed the same; why, and how do I get the Arabic percent sign? You converted a discount line and got ١٥% with a Western sign. The Arabic percent sign ٪ is a separate option, off by default; here is when to turn it on.
- After converting to Arabic-Indic digits, the numbers inside my store link written without https changed; how do I avoid that?Protection only recognises links that start with a scheme such as https:// or with www. A bare domain gets its digits converted. How to avoid it and check the result.
- If I convert the digits in my product descriptions to Arabic-Indic, will model numbers like iPhone 15 change too, and is that a good idea?Converting description digits to Arabic-Indic hits model numbers too, so iPhone 15 turns into iPhone ١٥. When that is fine and when to keep Western digits.
- I only want to turn Persian digits into Arabic-Indic ones without touching the Western digits in my text; which setting do I pick?Want Persian ۱۲۳ turned into Arabic-Indic ١٢٣ while 45 stays 45? Choose the source styles yourself, then use the counters to confirm nothing else changed.
- A customer sent their IBAN in Arabic-Indic digits and the bank transfer form won't take it; how do I convert it without copying errors?Convert an IBAN written ٠٣ ٨٠٠٠ into Western digits without retyping it: letters and spaces stay put and not one digit of the long number goes missing.
- Are the ID and account numbers I convert sent anywhere?Converting ID numbers, IBANs and customer phone lists happens in your browser and is not stored. What happens to your text, and what is still up to you.
- Is it better to change the digit setting on my phone or to convert the texts I already have?A phone setting only changes what you type from now on; old messages, lists and files keep their digits. When you need one, the other, or both.
- My product CSV has prices in Arabic-Indic digits with the Arabic decimal separator; how do I prepare it for a Shopify import?Prices like ١٢٠٫٥٠ in a product CSV need the digits and the decimal separator converted. Watch the Arabic thousands separator: as a comma it can add a column.
- I wrote a delivery date with dots like 15.09.2026 and its digits weren't converted; why?Protection treats three numbers joined by dots as a version number and leaves them alone. Write the date with slashes or switch protection off with care.
