Processing and privacy: The result is calculated inside your browser and your data is not sent to any server.
How to use it
- Enter text or numbers.
- The result appears straight away and updates as you edit.
- Copy the result, or copy a link that keeps the same values to share it.
How it is calculated
Each Western digit d from 0 to 9 is replaced by the Unicode character U+0BE6 + d, so 0 becomes U+0BE6 and 9 becomes U+0BEF. Letters, symbols and spaces stay as they are and the value does not change.
Example
Result: Converted text: Pongal on ௧௪ January, ௧௦௮ lamps; Digits converted: 5.
Pongal on 14 January, 108 lamps
Pongal on ௧௪ January, ௧௦௮ lamps
Limits and caveats
- The Tamil zero U+0BE6 is a modern addition. Traditional writing used signs for ten, hundred and thousand instead of place value, and this tool does not produce them.
